A Second Leaving

By: Zoë
Final picture with Grand Mar and Popov before heading out

The departure from Rock Hall was a bit slower then intended. In between forgetting laundry, Bay Bridge traffic, pee brakes and such, the journey was a bit slow too. We were headed to Fredricksburg VA. By the time we got to Meg's (one of moms oldest friends) it was around 9:15. We couldn't ring the door bell for fear of waking the month old twins.

When we came in Hunter and Virginia "Kate" were asleep the arms of their parents. We got a tour of the house and ended up sleeping in the prettiest, most comfortable basement I have ever seen!  We all slept well too. Unfortunately Dad wasn't feeling well so he had to stay away from the babies as much as possible

After Meg's house we hit the road again and headed of to Ohiopyle State Park (appealing name, right?).  It was pretty rainy so we sort of just ate dinner and then went to bed. This night how ever no one really slept too well ...particularly me. In the middle of the night I woke up to go to the bathroom, what I didn't know is that dad had put up the tail gate when I was sleeping. So I, still half asleep, unzipped the bug screen and put my hands in the place where I thought the tail gate was and fell wetting my self all the while.

Morning conversation
Dad: How did you sleep?
Me: mumph
